Summer in San Diego’s backcountry means sunshine, small-town charm, and tons of events to fill your weekends. Whether you're in Poway, Ramona, or Julian, there's always something exciting going on—and we think a stop at Vineyard Grant James is the perfect way to round out your day.

Poway Summer Concert Series

Pack a lawn chair and enjoy live music under the stars. These family-friendly events are a summer staple, and we recommend swinging by the vineyard beforehand to grab a bottle (or two!) for your pre-concert picnic.

Ramona Country Fair – July 25–27

Enjoy carnival rides, live music, and local vendors at the Ramona Outdoor Community Center. After the fair, bring your funnel cake to the vineyard and enjoy a relaxing sunset with one of our chilled whites or bold reds.

Julian Apple Days – Early Season Activities Start in August

Before peak harvest begins, enjoy early apple treats and Julian’s adorable shops and bakeries. Then head just down the mountain to unwind on our vineyard patio—outside food and apple pie welcome!
