This past week, we embarked on an unforgettable journey through New Zealand, sipping, exploring, and making memories that will last a lifetime. Flying High Over Milford Sound

Our trip kicked off with a breathtaking flight over Milford Sound, offering dramatic views of towering fjords and cascading waterfalls. One of our lucky wine club members even got to ride in the cockpit for a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Talk about first-class views!

A Magical Night Hike Through the Redwoods

New Zealand’s natural beauty stunned us every step of the way, but nothing compared to our nighttime hike through the Redwoods. With towering trees illuminated in a surreal glow, we wandered through the forest, taking in the peaceful magic of the moment.

Exploring the Rainforest & Relaxing by a Geyser

We continued our adventure with more hiking—this time through the lush rainforest, surrounded by vibrant greenery and fresh, misty air. And as if that wasn’t spectacular enough, we woke up to the sight of a stunning geyser right behind our hotel! What a way to start the day!

Sipping in the Sunshine on Waiheke Island

Of course, no trip is complete without wine! We spent a perfect, sun-soaked day on Waiheke Island, tasting some of New Zealand’s finest wines while overlooking the sparkling ocean. Five incredible stops later, we were officially in wine-lover’s paradise.

A Visit to the Iconic Hobbiton Movie Set

We couldn’t leave New Zealand without stepping into Middle-earth! Walking through Hobbiton felt like stepping into a fairy tale, complete with charming hobbit holes and the whimsical landscape straight out of the films. And for those paying close attention, we even spotted a familiar face—the Hobbit Barmaid herself! (Wink, wink!)

From scenic flights to rainforest hikes, wine tastings to movie magic, every moment of this trip was unforgettable. Traveling with our wine club brings together great friends, amazing wines, and incredible adventures—and this journey with Susanne and Jacques was no exception.
