Father's Day BBQ Bliss: Pairing Vineyard Grant James Wines with Grilled Delights

As the summer season approaches, it’s the perfect time to celebrate the special dads in our lives. With longer days and warmer nights, there’s no better way to honor Father's Day than by spending time outdoors, grilling delicious dinners, and enjoying quality time with family and friends. Grilled Lemon Herb Chicken with Sauvignon Blanc

Pairing our Sauvignon Blanc with a Grilled Lemon Herb Chicken will elevate your Father's Day dinner to a whole new level.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Lemon slices for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.

  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

  3. Grill the Chicken: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill for 6-8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  4. Serve and Enjoy: Garnish with lemon slices and serve alongside a chilled glass of Vineyard Grant James Sauvignon Blanc.


Grilled Peach and Prosciutto Skewers with Blush Wine

For a unique and flavorful pairing, try our blush wine with Grilled Peach and Prosciutto Skewers.

Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe peaches, pitted and quartered

  • 8 slices of prosciutto, halved lengthwise

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • Balsamic glaze

  • Olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Assemble the Skewers: Wrap each peach quarter with a slice of prosciutto and thread onto skewers, alternating with fresh basil leaves.

  2. Season and Grill: Brush the skewers lightly with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Preheat your grill to medium heat and grill the skewers for 2-3 minutes per side, until the prosciutto is crisp and the peaches are slightly charred.

  3. Finish and Serve: Drizzle the skewers with balsamic glaze and serve with a glass of chilled Vineyard Grant James blush wine.
